Snow Patrol
Over a two-decade career, Snow Patrol has carved out a unique place for themselves. Since their 1998 debut, Songs for Polarbears, which Pitchfork hailed as “an impressive piece of work,” their melancholy anthems of heartbreak and separation have mended hearts, and the band has racked up an impressive number of critical and commercial accolades, including 15 million global album sales, 1+ billion global track streams, 5 UK Platinum Albums, and are Grammy and Mercury Music Prize nominated.
Sorcha Richardson
Sorcha Richardson’s debut album ‘First Prize Bravery’ was the culmination of her experiences throughout young adulthood, a time during which she ventured from home in Dublin to New York, Los Angeles and then back again. Greeted by critical acclaim from Nylon, The Irish Times, The Guardian and BBC6 Music, comparisons were made with Julien Baker, Phoebe Bridgers et al, eading to a nomination for the Irish Choice Music Prize.
Her follow-up ‘Smiling Like an Idiot,’ written mostly on guitar and piano in her late grandparents living room, cemented her status as one of Ireland’s most exciting songwriters and lyricists. The album topped the Irish independent charts and reached number 4 in the Irish Album Charts and saw Richardson embark on headline tours across North America and Europe, as well as support tours with Mitski, Villagers and James Vincent McMorrow. The album’s lead single Shark Eyes was covered by Ellie Goulding.
