Another Planet Entertainment and the Fox Theater – Oakland are committed to producing safe events. Per the artist, this show is vaccinated only. All patrons attending must show proof of full vaccination (must be 2 weeks past final dose) for entry. Per Alameda County regulations, masks will be required regardless of vaccination status while attending events at the Fox Theater.
To create what we believe is the safest environment for our patrons, staff, artists and surrounding community, we are implementing Health Pass by CLEAR for entry to all shows at the Fox Theater – Oakland. All attendees for Michael Che at the Fox Theater are encouraged to show a Green Health Pass (vaccinated) on the CLEAR app to ensure a quick and easy entry to the venue.
A non-vented N95 mask or other well-fitted mask is strongly recommended to provide maximum protection. We will not allow a scarf, ski mask, balaclava, bandana, turtleneck, collar, single layer of fabric, or any mask that has an unfiltered one-way exhaust valve.

After providing proof of vaccination, this event will be a phone-free experience. Use of phones, smart watches and accessories, will not be permitted in the performance space. Upon arrival at the venue, all phones, smart watches and accessories will be secured in individual Yondr pouches that will be opened at the end of the event. Guests maintain possession of their devices at all times, and can access them throughout the event only in designated Phone Use Areas within the venue.

Michael Che
Named one of Rolling Stone’s 50 Funniest People, Michael Che is currently the co-anchor of SNL’s “Weekend Update” alongside Colin Jost, in addition to serving as one of the show’s head writers. His first hourlong comedy special, MICHAEL CHE MATTERS, was released in 2016 on Netflix. It hit #1 twice on the platform, first upon its initial release and then again in 2020. Che’s second special for Netflix MICHAEL CHE SHAME THE DEVIL taped at the Fox Theater in Oakland and was released in November 2021.
In 2021, Che debuted his own original HBO Max sketch comedy series, THAT DAMN MICHAEL CHE, which Michael stars in, wrote and executive produced. The show was picked up for a second season, which launched on May 26, 2022. Che has received two WGA Award nominations for his writing on both THAT DAMN MICHAEL CHE and SNL. He has also been nominated for multiple Emmys for his writing on SNL, and in 2018, he co-hosted NBC’s live Emmy Awards telecast alongside Jost. He and Colin also hosted a number of special edition episodes of “Weekend Update” on MSNBC during the 2016 Republican and Democratic national conventions.
Prior to his time on SNL, Michael was a correspondent on THE DAILY SHOW WITH JON STEWART and appeared alongside Chris Rock in the 2015 feature, TOP FIVE. When Che is not in front of the camera, he tours the world headlining live stand-up shows.
